I made this for my girlfriend for fun. It was inspired by an REI hiking quiz that we read together where you had survive by making cautionary hiking decisions. It is played by putting a sticky-note over each of the outcomes and letting the other person choose their path.. kind of like those old choose your adventure books. It is challenging consolidating  the paths where each decision generates exponentially more outcomes, but it was SUPER fun to do. I want to print this on a big poster board one day.

I created this character over the course of the semester for a CG modeling class. We were fortunate to have Dan Platt teach and explain the foundation of a professional model. In the spring I'll give this guy clothes and rig him up. Done with zero triangles, 6-poly intersections, etc.

Calarts Character Animation Show

This year's character animation show was a lot of fun. Having not done it last year I felt the need to put some time and effort into it. My general theme was samurai and ninja, though I pinned up a couple oddities in there. This year also had the traditional caricature session where I gave some pretty ugly drawings to (fortunately) a very happy group of people.  Some more drawings.

I had intended on designing a new ninja for the wall piece, but time got short and what I had did not cut it. The medium is duct tape.

Anyway, that's enough Japanese stuff for a while.
